Clowning around
The kids' school had it's fall festival tonight. It was a fun evening with dinner, lots of games, candy and oh yes, a clown!
I saw Chester making the rounds whilst we ate and I wondered how Little Lady would deal with him, she is not comfortable with strange men! But he was good. He sat down by Kiddo and had won them both over in a matter of minutes. It was great having the personal attention and not having to stand in line waiting for him to make balloon sculptures for them!

wondered if you were away.....missed your post, saw your footprint but wondered if you were ok only to find I just didn't catch the post.
Hate- from the uncomfortable feeling inside me- clowns. really get why kids freak around them....glad the kids enjoyed chester (who does look like an apple pie kind of guy) but still really creepy.
Clowns do affect different people in different ways, i always feel that in "real life" clowns are mostly sad people.
I wonder what the little boy thinks in watching Chester .
Your little Lady looks happy . Her sculpture is very symbolic and well made .

@fauquet - I think he found Chester quite funny but frustrating at times when he was joking around! One thing with our boy is he has never suffered fools gladly!

I learned recently that clowns are one of the main things kids are afraid of in their early years. I was always scared of the department store Santas. My parents had a picture of me just about to cry when I was sitting in Santa's lap.
Now how did this subject get from clowns to Santas?
@closethippie - Little lady is terribly afraid of Santa at the mall, the only Santa photo we have of her is as a 9 month old baby. She isn't very comfortable with many white haired bearded men!
