I used a tripod mounted camera for this!

I am going to make my best effort to get involved in weekly photo challenge again.  Bad me really let it slip.
I don't used my tripod as ofter as I should, I was thinking of getting a monopod as it would be less cumbersome.

Here are my shots for this week

  • lovely shots of the moon! Gosh, I haven't done the challenge in a while...I need to get back into the swing of things!

  • like your fireworks and the work you did with the computer to make the shot so interesting.

  • Wonderful to see your work again! As always, these are excellent!

  • Oooooh... just oooooh. Oh! ...and an aaaah, too.

  • very nice job Gil-- I wish I had captured the moon last month- it was so darn big!! --- love that last shot- well done. Happy New Year!

  • What wonderful photos.  You are so talented Gil.  Looking forward to more photo shots.

  • the cloudy moonlit night was spectacular! I could literally see the clouds moving slowly past the moon...

  • All the words have already been used above Gill!

  • Wow, wow, wow!

  • These are all beautiful.

  • Your moonshots are terrific and your fireworks is really nice.  I don't have any good fireworks at all.  Maybe this next year.  Thanks for taking part in my tripod challenge, you are missed in all of them.

  • Great night photos!!!!!!!!!!!  So how did you get the moon to come out without causing essentially a double image?  I've done this as a time lapsed photo and I always end up getting what looks like two moons in my pictures.

  • Did you see the big moon tonight? Biggest and brightest of the year, the weather man said.

  • Is that firework shot real? It has a surreal look to it, and the first two moon shots are great.

  • @rojobe -

Yup it's real, I did tweak it a little to selectively colour the firework. It's a fairly long exposure so I really did need my tripod.
